People: US media: Trump sister dies at 86

She hasn’t been good to him lately. Her brother Donald Trump is a liar “without principles”. Now the eldest sister of the former US president has died.

The eldest sister of former US President Donald Trump is dead. Former federal judge Maryanne Trump Barry was discovered early Monday morning in her apartment in the New York borough of Manhattan, several US media outlets reported unanimously. The TV station ABC reported that rescue workers had been called because of a heart attack. Barry was an appeals court judge in the US state of New Jersey until 2019. Former US President Ronald Reagan first appointed her to a district court in 1983, and in 1999 she became an appeals judge following a decision by President Bill Clinton. Barry eventually resigned amid investigations into possible tax fraud by her father and siblings.

Donald Trump was US President for four years starting in 2017 and wants to be elected for another term next year. The 77-year-old initially did not comment on his sister’s death. Barry had made critical comments about him in recordings published in 2020 and described him as a liar “without principles”. The ex-president held back from making any statements about her.
