Pan American Games receive candidacy from Asunción to host the 2027 event

ASSUMPTION.- Paraguay proposes to present the candidacy of Assumption as headquarters of the 2027 Pan American Gameswhich was withdrawn to the Colombian city of Barranquilla last week, government authorities and the country’s Olympic movement announced on Thursday.

Camilo Pérez López Moreirathe president of Paraguayan Olympic Committeepointed out in a press conference that the Assumption can be “a super headquarters for the next Panamerican Games”.

It would be the first time that Assumption would organize the largest multidisciplinary sporting event on the continent.
