Mysterious flying objects Ominous drone sightings on the US East Coast raise questions

Reports of suspected drone sightings on the east coast of the USA are heating up tempers. The government is trying to reassure people.

After numerous drone sightings in the US state of New Jersey and other states on the East Coast, President Joe Biden’s administration says it has made additional resources available. Additional personnel and technology have been mobilized to support the police in New Jersey, said Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas in a TV interview.

“There is no question that people see drones,” he emphasized. Some of the reported sightings are in fact drones. Others, however, are manned aircraft that are often confused with drones. “I want to reassure the American public that we are on this,” Mayorkas said.

Secretary Mayorkas: No Evidence of “Foreign Involvement”

“Thousands of drones are flown every day in the United States, both recreational and commercial drones,” the minister continued. For some time now, drones have also been allowed to fly at night. “This could be one of the reasons why people are seeing more drones today than before, especially at dawn and dusk.” Mayorkas reiterated that there was no evidence of “foreign involvement” in the sightings in the northeastern United States.

For days there have been reports and discussions about possible drones in the skies of the US East Coast. The mysterious phenomenon began in November over New Jersey when an unmanned flying object was spotted near a military facility. Videos of the mysterious bright lights in the sky are spreading rapidly on social media, sparking heated speculation.
