By losing Sunday’s duel against the New York Jets, the season of the Miami Dolphins was forgotten.
While the table of teams that say present to the NFL playoffsthe Dolphins had to say goodbye and end their season.
They lost 32-20 to the Jets at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, in the last game of the regular season without their starting quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, who was kept away from the action by hip discomfort.
The Dolphins missed out on the postseason after making it there in each of the last two seasons.
Tyreek Hill gives the Dolphins another bad news
Tyreek Hill, a Miami Dolphins player, hinted at his departure from the team, as after the 32-20 loss to the New York Jets he showed clear frustration with how his season has gone, where he recorded less than a thousand yards for the first time since 2019.
Faced with questions about how he felt after this difficult season without qualifying for the Playoffs, Hill assured that he will have to do what is best for both him and his family.
“This is the first time I’m not in the Playoffs, so I just have to do what’s best for me and my family. If that’s the case, or wherever, I’m about to open that door for myself.” Hill said.
Coach Mike McDaniel downplayed Hill’s comments.
“I’m not going to put too much weight into second-hand postgame statements of disappointment,” McDaniel said, per NFL Network’s Cameron Wolfe. “We will see how the next few days progress in conversations with him and I.”
“It’s a little cloudy in the heat of the moment for multiple reasons,” the sideline boss added, according to ESPN’s Marcel Louis-Jacques. “I know clarity will be found.”
The Dolphins needed a win over the Jets and a Broncos loss to the Chiefs to make the playoffs. Denver crushed Kansas City 38-0.
