Miami-Dade Public Schools to close Nov. 21-28 for Thanksgiving

MIAMI.- Miami-Dade County Public Schools announced that all of its facilities – including schools, regional offices and district offices – will remain closed on Thursday, November 27 and Friday, November 28 in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday, according to a press release from M-DCPS.

Full week of fall break!

This year, all students and employees on 10-month contracts will be able to take a full-week fall break from Nov. 24-28, a move intended to provide additional rest for families and faculty.

The document clarifies that school and administrative activities will resume on Monday, December 1.

The Miami-Dade school district, with 392 schools, is the fourth largest in the United States. More than 345,000 students study there at different educational levels.
