MIAMI.- The representative of MexicoFátima Bosch, was crowned as Miss Universe 2025 at the Impact Arena in Bangkok this November 21. It is the fourth victory for the Aztec country in the contest after it was conquered by Lupita Jones (1991), Ximena Navarrete (2010) and Andrea Meza (2020).
The 25-year-old black-haired girl climbed to the final draw alongside the representatives of the Ivory Coast, the Philippines, Venezuela and Thailand. The latter managed to win the position of first runner-up.
Bosch received the crown from the hands of the Danish Victoria Kjaer, Miss Universe 2024. The exclusive jewel, inspired by the monarch butterfly, was created by the jewelery house Jewelmer. The Miss Universe Organization gave her the name Lumière de l’Infini, which in Spanish means Light of the Infinite.
“As Miss Universe I would tell you to believe in the power of your authenticity. Believe in yourself because your dreams matter, your heart matters. And never allow anyone to make you doubt yourself and your worth. Because you are worth a lot. You are powerful and your voice deserves to be heard,” she responded to the first question: If you win the Miss Universe title tonight, how would you use this platform to empower young women?
Bosch is a model and communicator from Tabasco. His participation in the contest was marked by an incident with Nawat Itsaragrisil, president of Miss Grand International and organizer of the universal pageant in Thailand, whom she accused of verbally attacking her.
The conflict originated during a meeting with the candidates. Itsaragrisil later apologized.

The show was hosted by American comedian Steve Byrne, with comments from R’Bonney Gabriel, Miss Universe 2022, and Dayanara Torres, Miss Universe 1993.
Telemundo broadcast the pageant live in Spanish hosted by Jacqueline Bracamontes, Danilo Carrera, Carlos Adyan and Jessica Carrillo.
The headquarters of the next edition of Miss Universe will be Puerto Rico, on a date that has not yet been revealed by the Organization.
