But he stressed the need for free elections and “solid democratic institutions” to ensure that the agreement is developed safely.

“I have said it again and again: Delcy Rodríguez and the remains of the Muaduro regime cannot be the future of Venezuela,” he said in another of his messages, in which he stressed the need for democratic institutions.
“Venezuela’s oil must open the doors to freedom,” he said, adding that it can rebuild a country.
“Then this agreement can last for generations,” he said.
