“Urgent. This is happening in Caracas, Venezuela. Let the whole world see it! People who are demanding freedom for their relatives collapse after remaining on hunger strike outside the Zone 7 prison,” Machado said this Sunday, February 15, through his account on X.

The Nobel Peace Prize winner also pointed out: “We will not rest until we free each of our political prisoners. All of them.”

The organization Vente Venezuela said that, while the power remains silent, “mothers and wives collapse for justice. Freedom for all political prisoners.”

The Committee for the Freedom of Political Prisoners reported that some of the relatives who are on hunger strike have experienced nausea, vomiting, dizziness, tremors and physical fadingafter more than 30 hours of protest.

“The Venezuelan State (regime) is responsible for the life and physical and mental integrity of these families and the people detained for political reasons,” they indicated.

The relatives reported that the political prisoners in Zone 7 were being forced to eat.

They ask for respect from family members

This Sunday afternoon, the Committee for the Freedom of Political Prisoners denounced the verbal aggression of the police against the mothers who are on hunger strike: an official called them “bawds.”

“The disqualification occurred when the relatives were trying to deliver serum to the political prisoners who remain on hunger strike in the PNB cells. It is essential that the police bodies act with respect and humanity, limiting their actions to the functions that correspond to them by law, and refraining from issuing judgments or expressions that re-victimize those who already suffer the consequences of impunity and injustice,” the organization said.
