María Corina Machado: “The moment is near, take care of yourselves and prepare yourselves”

CARACAS – The opposition leader and recent Nobel Peace Prize winner asked those who still support dictator Nicolás Maduro to leave the regime and contribute to a peaceful transition.

María Corina Machado sent a message to Venezuelan civilians and military personnel who still support dictator Nicolás Maduro, urging them to step aside and facilitate an orderly transition in Venezuela.

“Understand, this is irreversible and there will be justice. Take a step aside, favor the transition for your own good, for the good of your families, your children,” Machado said in a video published by the portal The Patilla.

Likewise, in her statement, the opposition leader urged her followers to stay organized and prepared for a change that, she said, is near: “Do not desert, organize, take care of yourselves, prepare yourselves, the moment is near.”

The statement coincides with an increase in tensions between Caracas and Washington. In recent days, the Maduro regime has ordered military exercises in the capital and in different regions of the country, while the president donald trump announced that the US forces and the CIA They are ready for “imminent” operations within the framework of their policy of supporting democratic restoration in Venezuela.

Machado reiterated his call for national reconciliation and stressed that “there is still time” for those who have been part of Maduro’s power apparatus to contribute to a peaceful transition.
