Maduro’s military and communes
The mobilization began in the marginal neighborhoods of the country, after the US naval forces sank a “narcoterrorist” vessel in the Caribbean, but it increased after the US announcements.
As part of Maduro’s measures, the commander of the ZODI Carabobo, Héctor Cadenas Daal, ordered “to activate special scouts, cooperating patriots, collaborators, popular forces (communes, collectives, fronts and revolutionary motorized forces) to search for intelligence and counterintelligence information (…) to neutralize counterrevolutionary activities,” according to a “reserved” official letter from the FANB that was denounced by networks.
And he cites “graffiti” in public places, as part of these activities, which is interpreted as a sign of greater repression of the opposition to Maduro.
“The link with armed groups, communes and other cooperating toads has been left in writing; these types of documents that later become irrefutable evidence in crimes against humanity,” said lawyer Zair Mundaray in his X account.
Venezuelan ship runs aground
In the context of the military exercises, the transport ship Capana (T-61) of the Venezuelan Navy, which was occupied by 300 soldiers, took on water after running aground near the town of Cumarebo, in the state of Falcón, it was reported on networks.
The boat emergency, which represents a serious maritime incident for the Bolivarian Armed Forces and involves one of its main logistical transports, has had no official response.
The activation of a rescue and rescue operation, coordinated by the naval and Civil Protection authorities, was expected to evacuate the more than 300 crew members and passengers on board.
