London announces the meeting of Western government representatives to Ukraine for Saturday

In the run-up to the meeting planned for Friday between US President Donald Trump and Kremlin boss Vladimir Putin, a meeting of western government representatives will take place in the Ukraine War this Saturday. British Foreign Minister David Lammy and US Vice President JD Vance will host, as the British Prime Minister Keir Starmer’s office announced.

According to the information, responsible government officials from Europe and the USA are said to participate in the meeting. The meeting will be a “significant forum” to discuss progress towards a “just and permanent peace” in Ukraine, explained Starmer’s office.

Lammy and Vance had previously held bilateral conversations in Great Britain. In doing so, they would have welcomed the efforts of US President Donald Trump to end the “Barbaric War” in Ukraine. They also agreed that “the pressure on Putin must be maintained so that he ends his illegal war”.

Strander had previously called the Ukrainian President Wolodymyr Selenskyj on Saturday. In the conversation, Selenskyj claimed to be “maximum coordination” between Ukraine and its partners. Selensky said that “clear steps” are necessary so that Russia ends his war against Ukraine in an online message.

“We know the determination of the United Kingdom, the United States and all of our partners to end this war,” emphasized the Ukrainian head of state.

Previously, he had warned of “decisions without Ukraine”. “Every decision against us, every decision without Ukraine is also a decision against peace,” said Selenskyj in online services. The Ukrainians would “not leave their land to the occupiers”.

Selenskyj is not invited to the meeting between Trump and Putin on Friday in the US state of Alaska. Trump announced the meeting on Friday. The Kremlin confirmed the meeting and invited Trump to visit Russia afterwards.
