Kyiv reports five deaths in the Russian drone attack on apartment blocks in Charkiw

According to Ukrains, five people were killed in a Russian drone attack on a apartment block in the eastern Ukrainian city of Charkiw and more than a dozen more were injured. The building was attacked and partially destroyed on Monday night on Monday, the governor of the Charkiw region, Oleh Synehubow, announced in the Telegram online service.

Among the dead there is also a girl one and a half, as the Ukrainian public prosecutor announced. At least 18 people were injured. At a separate rocket attack on Charkiw, at least eleven people were violated, according to the mayor of the city, Ihor Terechow.



In the South Ukrainian region of Odessa, too, the Russian army attacked the regional governor Oleh Kiper with drones. As a result of the attacks, a fire broke out in a fuel system.

The attacks are made shortly before the Ukrainian President Wolodymyr Selenskyj’s Ukrainian president with US President Donald Trump in Washington. The discussions in which, in addition to Chancellor Friedrich Merz (CDU), several top European representatives take part, it is said to be a possible end to the war in Ukraine. Central topics will be security guarantees for Ukraine in a peace solution and the attitude towards the Russian area claims. Trump is said to have promised US security guarantees for Ukraine.
