Kamala Harris refers to Donald Trump as "failure"

Kamala Harris is in attack mode. The closer November 5th comes, the harder she attacks competitor Donald Trump. And she knows his weak points.

The presidential candidate of the Democratic Party in the USA, Kamala Harris, has accused her Republican opponent Donald Trump of incompetence and favoring the upper class when it comes to economic issues. If Trump has his way, “our economy works best when it works for those who own the big skyscrapers,” Harris said on Wednesday at a campaign event in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

During Trump’s time as US president, nearly 200,000 factory jobs were relocated abroad, Harris said. This makes their competitor “one of the biggest failures of all time” in terms of the manufacturing industry.

“Not serious”: Kamala Harris criticizes Donald Trump’s tariff plans

Harris cast herself as a supporter of the middle class and vowed to show “a new path forward,” boosting investment in manufacturing and cutting taxes for families and medium-sized businesses.

In an interview with the left-leaning news channel MSNBC, Harris criticized Trump’s plans to impose high tariffs on imports into the United States. “You don’t just throw around the idea of general tariffs,” argued the Democrat. “He’s just not very serious,” she added, referring to Trump.

It was Harris’ first solo interview as a presidential candidate. In August she gave an interview with her vice presidential candidate Tim Walz.

Elections in the USA: Candidates are in a tight race

Harris was nominated as the Democratic Party’s candidate after US President Joe Biden withdrew from his candidacy in July following massive doubts about his physical and mental fitness.

The Vice President and former President Trump are in a neck-and-neck race for the White House in polls and are trying to reach undecided voters six weeks before the election – especially in so-called swing states. The outcome of the presidential election on November 5th will be decided based on the peculiarities of the US electoral system in these states.
