Jake Paul manages to agree to a fight with the legendary Mike Tyson

ARLINGTON-. Jake Paul, the ‘influencer’ who dabbled as a boxer, will fight the legendary world heavyweight champion Mike Tyson on July 20 at AT&T Stadium in Texas, announced Netflix.

The streaming platform reported Thursday that it will offer live coverage of the fight between Paul, 27, and Tyson, 57.

Tyson has not fought since an exhibition against Roy Jones Jr. in 2020 that ended in a draw.

Paul gained a huge following on YouTube and began his career as a professional boxer four years ago. He has won nine of 10 fights, with six knockouts, facing mostly small-time opponents. His only loss was last year to Tommy Fury, the half-brother of world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury.

“Iron Mike” Tyson was the undisputed heavyweight champion between 1987 and 1990 and retired in 2005 after accumulating 50 victories, 44 by knockout.

“My goal is to become world champion and now I have the opportunity to show myself against the world’s top heavyweight champion, the baddest man on the planet and the most dangerous boxer of all time. “It’s time to send Iron Mike to sleep,” Paul wrote on X, the former Twitter.

Paul’s second professional fight was on the undercard of the Tyson-Jones fight. His most recent fight was on Saturday, when he knocked out Ryan Bourland.

“I am quite excited to get into the ring with Jake Paul at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas,” Tyson said in a statement. “He has matured significantly as a boxer over the years and it will be fun to gauge the desire and ambition of a ‘ child’ compared to the experience and talent of a GOAT (the greatest).”
