MIAMI.- The model Valentina Ferrer and the urban artist J Balvin They have ended their romance after almost a decade together and a child together. The decision was shared by the Argentine in a brief statement posted on Instagram stories.
“After sharing so many years and important moments together, José and I have decided to go our separate ways,” the message begins.
“It has been a decision made out of love, respect and the desire to do the best for our family. Our priority will continue to be always accompanying Rio with all our love,” he added.
Finally, Ferrer pointed out that they are going through this chapter of their lives calmly and requested respect and privacy before this personal stage.
Relationship
The Colombian confirmed in May 2018 his relationship with the Argentine model, and in June 2021 they welcomed their son Río.
Despite the strength of the romance, the couple never married and in March 2025, J Balvin stated, in an interview he gave to the program First Impact, who considered it as: “a party and a commitment to society.”
Likewise, he emphasized that he sees no difference between being married and not being married. However, he noted that he respects those who seek to fulfill the social and spiritual bond, and highlighted that the Argentine model shared his way of thinking.
The decision is surprising, since in August 2026, Ferrer published a reel on Instagram of the family vacation, among them there is a photo with Balvin. “Connecting with nature as a family,” he wrote.
For now, J Balvin has not commented on the separation.
