MIAMI.- With his future in question, the coach of InterMiami, the argentinian Guillermo Hoyosreceived this Thursday a one-game suspension for the MLS due to repeated delays by the Lionel Messi in jumping onto the grass.
In a statement, the North American League (MLS) reported the suspension of Hoyos, as well as the application of fines of an undisclosed amount to the helmsman and to Inter Miami itself.
MLS rules “establish that all clubs must be on the field and ready to play at the scheduled start time of the first and second half,” the competition explained.
“MLS clubs and head coaches are subject to escalating fines and suspension of the head coach for repeated violations” of this rule, the league added.
Hoyos, 63 years old, will serve the punishment on Saturday against CF Montreal.
The coach, in any case, could have already coached his last game with Inter, since his continuity is seriously in question due to a recent crisis of results.
In their last five games, Inter have recorded four defeats and a draw between the MLS and the Leagues Cupa tournament from which he was eliminated in the group stage after being a finalist last year.
