LA PEACE.- The president of the FIFA, Gianni Infantinopromised this Monday in La Paz to give it the headquarters of “a World” to Boliviawithout specifying which one or what category.
“We are going to bring a World Cup here, of course, of course, we are going to see, we are going to talk about which World Cup,” said the head of the world football governing body during a visit to the Bolivian city.
Although the support of the FIFA president is key, the World Cup venues are chosen through a vote in which the more than 200 countries affiliated with the FIFA participate. International Association Football Federation (FIFA).
Infantino launched the commitment within the framework of his visit to the Andean nation to participate in the celebrations for the centenary of the founding of the Bolivian Football Federation (FBF).
The head of FIFA was accompanied by the president of the South American Football Confederation (Conmebol), Alejandro Domínguez.
The newly elected president of Bolivia, Rodrigo Paz, also attended the event.

The highest authority of FIFA did not comment on the recent request by the country’s largest football players’ union, Fabol, for the organization to intervene in the FBF for alleged corruption.
Prior to Infantino’s visit, the organization that brings together players from professional clubs denounced “illegalities” by leaders of the local federation in the management of football.
The Bolivian team will play the play-off for the 2026 World Cup in North America in Mexico in March.
Nottingham appoints new manager
