Harris: Trump is "increasingly out of balance"

After an explosive interview by Donald Trump’s former chief of staff, Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris has accused her rival of being unbalanced. The right-wing populist is striving for “uncontrolled power,” Harris said on Wednesday in response to an interview that Trump’s former chief of staff John Kelly gave to the New York Times.

“Donald Trump is increasingly unbalanced and unstable,” Harris said. In a second term for the 78-year-old, people like John Kelly would no longer be there “to form the protective railing against his tendencies and actions.” What Trump said about Adolf Hitler was also “incredibly dangerous.”

Kelly said in the interview that Trump was a politician who “fits the general definition of fascist.” “He certainly prefers the dictatorial approach in government.”

The former chief of staff also confirmed earlier reports that Trump made positive comments about Adolf Hitler on several occasions. “More than once he said, ‘You know, Hitler did some good things too,'” he said. The former general was his chief of staff in the White House during Trump’s first term in office from mid-2027 to early 2019.
