London.- Lewis Hamilton He has revealed that he made the “most difficult decision” of his life by “saying goodbye” to his 12 -year -old bulldog, Roscoe, the legend of the Formula 1.
Hamilton was absent from a tire test in Italy on Friday to be with his sick pet, which had been hospitalized with pneumonia.
The pilot of Ferrari 40 years explained that Roscoe died in his arms on Sunday.
“After four days with life support, fighting with all the force I had, I had to make the most difficult decision of my life and say goodbye to Roscoe. He never stopped fighting, until the same end,” Hamilton wrote on Instagram.
“I feel so grateful and honored to have shared my life with such a beautiful soul, an angel and a true friend. Bring Roscoe to my life was the best decision I have made and I will always treasure the memories we create together,” he continued.
“It is one of the most painful experiences, and I feel a deep connection with all those who have gone through the loss of a beloved pet,” Hamilton said.
Roscoe was a usual presence in the Paddock of Formula 1 and in important events such as prize ceremonies since the seven -time world champion adopted it in 2013.
Hamilton will return to action with his Ferrari at the Singapore Grand Prix this weekend.
