GERBER Baby Palitos continue for sale despite the retirement for fear of suffocation, the company warns

Dentition sticks for babies Gerber Soothe ‘N’ Chew, removed from the market and discontinued, are still available in stores and online despite the concern about possible cases of choking, the company announced Friday.

The company recalled that all the lots of strawberry, apple and banana dentition sticks were withdrawn from the market in January after reporting cases of choking, with at least one visit to the emergency room.

Dentition sticks, in the form of tubes and made with whole grains, were distributed throughout the country in stores and on the Internet.

Those who have bought the affected lots should not feed their children with the product and can return it to the seller to obtain a complete refund. If you see that the products are still for sale, they are recommended not to buy them.

“We have been working with the United States Food and Medicines Administration (FDA) in this retirement and fully cooperate with them,” said Gerber Products Co. in the statement.

“We reiterate our most sincere apologies for any restlessness or inconvenience that this measure can cause to parents, caregivers and retail customers,” said the company.
