From Cristiano Ronaldo to Vinícius Júnior: the figures who will pass through Miami during the World Cup

MIAMI. – The 2026 FIFA World Cup will make South Florida one of the main venues for international soccer. In addition to hosting seven matches of the tournament, the city will host several of the most recognized figures in sport, including Cristiano Ronaldo, Vinícius Júnior, Luis Díaz, Federico Valverde and James Rodríguez.

The Miami Stadium, located in Miami Gardens, will host group stage matches, a knockout round, the quarterfinals and the third place match, guaranteeing the presence of some of the most attractive teams in the competition.

Uruguay will be one of the first teams to appear in front of the local fans when they face Saudi Arabia on June 15 and Cape Verde on June 21. The light blue squad will arrive led by Federico Valverde, a Real Madrid reference and one of the most important pieces of his generation, accompanied by striker Darwin Núñez and experienced defenders such as Ronald Araújo and José María Giménez.

Another of the most anticipated matches will take place on June 24, when Brazil takes on Scotland.
