Former First Lady Melania Trump announces biography – and promises intimate insights

Melania Trump is best known as the wife of Donald Trump. While her husband is busy with the US election campaign, she is now announcing her memoirs.

She is best known as the wife of Donald Trump. Even during her time as First Lady, Melania Trump was not exactly known for her approachability, but rather presented herself as distant and reserved. Lady Trump never came close to the popularity of her predecessor Michelle Obama, wife of former President Barack Obama. Even now, when her husband is campaigning again to return to the White House, she prefers to stay out of the public eye. We all know it.

The latest announcement from the Trump family is all the more surprising: Melania is publishing her memoirs. On the corresponding website, she writes about her work, which has the simple but catchy name “Melania,” and about its content: It is the “powerful and inspiring story of a woman who defined personal excellence, overcame adversity, and forged her own path.” Not much more is known about the biography so far.

Melania Trump writes “intimate portrait”

The book, which contains never-before-published stories and images, is also due to be released in the fall in a collector’s edition for the proud price of $150. A signed version costs $75, the standard edition $40. It remains to be seen whether intimate details from the Trump household will be available to read before the US presidential election in November. The former First Lady has also left open what role Donald Trump will play in Melania’s biography. She simply speaks of an “intimate portrait of a woman who led an extraordinary life.”

The first reactions to the announcement were not long in coming. On social networks, users reacted primarily with references to Michelle Obama’s biography and accused Trump of emulating Obama again. The reason for this statement is a scandal from 2016. At that time, Melania Trump had repeated parts of a speech by Michelle Obama and thereby sparked criticism.
