Miami – Adam Bravo, 40, and his son Nathan, 11, died the previous weekend in the southwest of Miami-Dade, after the vehicle in which they were traveling hit a sidewalk, which caused the driver to lose control and crash against another truck.
The road incident occurred on Friday shortly after 6:00 pm at the intersection of Quail Roost Drive and 117 Avenue of the Southwest, in the South Miami Heights area.
A surveillance video captured how the Lexus Black sedan that Bravo was driving lost control after, apparently, hitting a sidewalk, and then collided with a GMC truck.
According to the Florida road patrol report (FHP), Bravo died at the scene. His son Nathan was transferred to the HCA Florida Kendall Hospital, where he died because of the wounds.
The four occupants of the GMC truck were unharmed in the accident, according to the authorities’ report.
“Milagro Child”
The tragedy is doubly painful for the family, which revealed that Nathan had survived a serious bicycle accident just four months ago.
On that occasion, the least suffered an epidural hemorrhage and, after arduous medical work, managed to recover.
“By the grace of God, he went ahead, and we called him our child miracle,” the family said in a statement.
Last trip together
According to the official story, father and son returned home after cutting their hair together. This routine activity became its last shared moment, which underlines the unexpected nature of tragedy.
The family described them as inseparable, united by shared passions and a deep mutual admiration.
Declaration and help
In an emotional statement, the Bravo expressed their deep pain:
“Our hearts are completely shattered … God knew they couldn’t live without each other, so he called them home together, side by side.”
To deal with funeral and maintenance expenses, Adam’s sister, Angela Rodríguez, organized a fundraising campaign through the Gofundme platform.
“My sister -in -law lost her husband and her baby at the same time, and our family is completely shattered. We do not know how we will overcome this anguish, but one thing is safe: God has sustained us before and will continue to do so now,” Adam’s sister wrote on the donation collection page.
The family has requested prayers to find strength and comfort at this time. Research on the exact causes of the accident remains active and is in charge of the Florida road patrol.
