Angle Framea midfielder who played with the U20 team of Ecuador and with FC Cincinnati of the MLSdied after remaining in critical condition for more than a month following a serious traffic accident that occurred at the beginning of October, the Ecuadorian Football Federation. He was 22 years old.
In a statement, the federation highlighted that Angulo “with his talent and dedication defended the colors of our country” and described him as “not only a player outstanding but a great companion.”
The death occurred on Monday night in a public hospital in the north center of the capital.
Angulo was left in a critical situation after a serious traffic accident on October 7 on the General Rumiñahui highway that connects the capital with the southern valleys. Roberto Cabezas, his former youth team teammate, Roberto Cabezas, also died in that event, according to the federation reported on Tuesday.
The midfielder played successfully for the Liga de Quito club, on loan from FC Cincinnati. Liga de Quito, Independiente del Valle, Aucas and Barcelona, among other Ecuadorian clubs, expressed their condolences and emotional messages published on social networks.
