Donald Trump sharply attacks Joe Biden after withdrawal

Donald Trump never had any words of praise for Joe Biden anyway. Trump is using Biden’s withdrawal to attack again – and is not giving up his lies.

Shortly after Joe Biden’s withdrawal, former president and Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump made a statement on his social network “Truth Social”. “The corrupt Joe Biden was never able to run for president again – nor was he able to hold the office,” wrote the 78-year-old. In his statement, he repeated his false claims of the stolen election. “Biden could only become president through lies and fake news,” said Trump. Everyone around him, including his doctors and the media, knew that Biden was not able to serve as president.

Donald Trump paints a dystopian picture of the USA under Biden

As he had done the previous evening at his campaign appearance in Michigan – the first since the assassination attempt on him – Trump painted a dystopian picture of the USA, which he said was the fault of the “mass invasion of immigrants”. “Millions of people are crossing our borders completely uncontrolled and unchecked, many from prisons, psychiatric institutions and a record number of terrorists,” Trump wrote in his statement, without being able to provide any evidence. The former president has long promised his voters that if he is re-elected he will carry out the “largest mass deportation in history”. “We will all suffer under his presidency, but we will quickly repair the damage he has caused,” Trump promised. The 78-year-old told CNN that “Biden will go down in history as the worst president of the United States.”

Shortly afterwards, Trump spoke again on “Truth Social.” There were no friendly words in the second post either. “Joe Biden has done everything possible to destroy our country, from our southern border to energy dominance, national security, international standing and much more,” Trump claimed. After defeating Biden in an “earth-shattering” debate in June, the “corrupt and radical Democrats” were now throwing him overboard. Trump accused Biden’s inner circle of having lied to Americans about “his complete and total mental, physical and cognitive decline.”

Biden announced on Sunday evening that he would not be running for president again. “It has been the greatest honor of my life to serve as your president,” the 81-year-old wrote on X. He will inform US citizens in more detail about his decision over the course of the week. Biden thanked everyone who supported him and shortly afterwards spoke out in favor of Kamala Harris as the future Democratic presidential candidate.
