In capital letters, Donald Trump announced online that there would be no second TV debate with Kamala Harris. In the first round of the two, Harris kept a cooler head.
Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has rejected a second debate with his Democratic rival Kamala Harris. “THERE WILL BE NO THIRD DEBATE!” Trump wrote on his social network Truth Social on Thursday.
Donald Trump doesn’t want a second debate with Kamala Harris
Trump had a first election debate with incumbent President Joe Biden. His poor performance led to Biden handing over the candidacy to his Vice President Harris.
Trump and Harris then met for a live television debate on Tuesday evening. In a Reuters/Ipsos poll on Thursday, a majority of respondents said Harris had won the TV duel.
Immediately after the duel, Harris’ team immediately agreed to a second debate in October. After Trump’s cancellation, Harris followed up and wrote on X: “We owe it to the voters to have another debate.”
