The Miami Dolphins They made a series of moves on their roster this past Monday, ahead of what will be their challenge on Thanksgiving Day against the Green Bay Packers and the most significant of all has to do with Isaiah Wynn, who was activated since the reserve/PUP list after he completed two weeks of internship.
To make room on the 53-man roster, the South Florida team removed guard Lester Cotton. Additionally, the Dolphins released Tucker Addington, who had played in the last three games, from the practice squad and replaced him with Zach Triner.
Triner, a six-year NFL veteran, has played a total of 61 games.
The move means Miami is not yet ready to activate Blake Ferguson from the reserve/non-football illness list, even though head coach Mike McDaniel repeated last week that he expected the player to take the field with the combine at some point this season.
Ferguson has been on that list since the beginning of October.
What could Wynn’s return mean?
Wynn hasn’t played in a game since Week 7 of the 2023 season, when he suffered a quadriceps injury against the Philadelphia Eagles, but had started every game for Miami up to that point.
The question that seems to be circulating now among the team’s fans is whether Wynn will be back in the starting lineup and, if so, at what point?
Robert Jones has started every game at left guard so far in 2024 and offensive line coach Butch Barry said last week that, without a doubt, the player has done enough to remain on the stellar plane.
