Los Angeles Dodgers manager Dave Robertsarrived late to team practice this Sunday due to a delayed flight before Game 3 of the World Series 2025.
Roberts explained that he reached Dodger Stadium around 5 pm, after a difficult day of travel:
“There were some delays. I don’t know if it was intentional or not,” the coach said. “The international process was a real chaos. But we arrived, we arrived.”
The Californian strategist commented that part of the lost time was due to the fact that his plane was stopped on the runway for several minutes.
The Dodgers traveled on multiple planes to Los Angeles, although not all suffered the same fate. Pitcher Tyler Glasnow confirmed that his flight had no delays.
For their part, the Toronto Blue Jays arrived at their hotel in California around 4 am on Sunday, after leaving Toronto at the end of Game 2, which concluded with a 5-1 victory for the Dodgers to tie the series.
That game, which ended at 10:45 pm (Eastern Time) and lasted just 2 hours and 36 minutes, was the fastest in a World Series since 2017. Japan’s Yoshinobu Yamamoto stood out by throwing a four-hit complete game, the first in a World Series since 2015.
The 2025 World Series resumes this Monday in Los Angeles, with the Dodgers looking to take advantage against the Blue Jays.
