Puig, with several years of experience in the Major Leagues, took to his social networks to report that he will not be able to continue his participation in the LVBP at the request of his new club, which he did not reveal, but which he assured suggested he rest so remainder of this year.
“Due to issues of a contract proposal for 2025, which was already in motion when I re-signed here, my new team has asked that I retire from playing in the winter to prepare my new path,” the Antillean said in a writing on his Instagram account, accompanied by a photo with the La Guaira uniform, the team logo and a writing that read “I love you!”
