Chilean Jarry advances Ronda in the 1000 Masters in Rome and is cited with another Latino

ROME.- The Chilean tennis player Nicolás Jarrynumber 53 of the world and finalist of the Masters 1000 from Rome Last year, he advanced on Thursday to the second round of this edition after beating 7-6 (7/4), 6-4 to French Hugo Gaston (n.78).

Jarry, 29, managed to reach the final in the Italic forum last year, his first in a 1000 Masters, who lost against the German Alexander Zverev (n.2).

“I can only be happy, everything has gone a little as if the ball listened to me today, to that point I had control of this game,” he explained.

Swiatek came from fitting a blunt defeat in the semifinals of the Madrid tournament against the American Coco Gauff (6-1, 6-1).
