LOS ANGELES.- The escort Jaden Ivey was fired by the Chicago Bulls this Monday after condemning the support of the NBA to the community LGBTQ.
In a brief statement, the Bulls said the 24-year-old had been released from the franchise for “conduct detrimental to the team.”
The decision came after Ivey appeared to lash out at the North American Basketball League for its support of the Pride Month.
“They proclaim Pride Month in the NBA. They proclaim it. They show it to the world. They say, ‘Come join us for Pride Month’ to celebrate injustice,” Ivey said in a live stream on Instagram.
“They proclaim it. They proclaim it on the billboards. They proclaim it in the streets, how unfair. So how come you can’t talk about justice? How can they say, ‘Man, this guy is crazy’?”
Ivey, who joined Chicago two months ago in a transfer from the Detroit Pistonsalso lashed out at Catholicism in an exchange with a commentator.
“Catholicism is a false religion. And it is not the true doctrine of Christ. (It) does not lead to salvation in Jesus Christ,” he said.
Ivey was considered one of the NBA’s biggest emerging talents when he was selected by Detroit with the fifth pick in the 2022 draft.
However, his career has been interrupted by injuries in the last two seasons. He only played four games with Chicago after joining the legendary team in February where he stood out. Michael Jordan at the end of the last century.
Wembanyama signs an NBA record
Victor Wembanyama once again stole the spotlight in the NBA with an exceptional performance in the victory of the Spurs 129-114 on the Bulls.
The French center established his scoring record of the season, with 41 points, and brightened his tally with 3 triples, 16 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 blocks.
Wemby also left a start in history by registering 10 points and 10 rebounds with only eight minutes and 31 seconds, thus establishing the fastest double-double in the NBA.
Five other Spurs players reached double digits in scoring against the Bulls, a team without playoff options, in a performance that did not convince their star.
“Today was not perfect either as a team or personally,” Wembanyama stated. “I wish it had been better, but it’s still satisfying.”
