US President Donald Trump has published a video that is supposed to show a fatal US attack on members of the Huthi militia in Yemen, and commented on the word “ups”. The black and white recordings, which he published on Friday (local time) in his online network work Truth Social, resembled pictures of military drones and showed several dozen people who are in a circle. Smoke follows, after which an impact point can be seen. Corpses cannot be seen.
“These Huthis gathered to get instructions for an attack,” wrote Trump to the video. “Oops, there will be no attack by this Huthis. You will never sink our ships again,” he continued.
US attack on Huthi militia
The Huthi-Miliz, financed by Iran, has repeatedly attacked ships in the Red Sea and in the Gulf of Aden as well as destinations in Israel with drones and rockets since the beginning of the Gaza War between Israel and the Islamist Palestinian organization Hamas. According to its own statements, the Huthi militia is about “solidarity with the Palestinians” in the Gaza Strip.
The US armed forces repeatedly proceed with air strikes against the militia. Trump threatened the militia with “complete” destruction.
