Barcelona already has a date to return to its Camp Nou

More than two years after the start of the renovation works of the Camp Nou stadium, FC Barcelona He will return home on November 7 for a training session open to the public, the Catalan club announced on Friday.

“The first men’s football team of FC Barcelona will officially return to the Spotify Camp Nou next Friday, November 7, to carry out an open-door training session in front of the Blaugrana fans, who wanted so much to return home and meet the team again,” Barça wrote in a statement.

This session will also serve as a “technical and operational test to verify the correct functioning of the systems, accessories and different aspects of the facility, within the framework of the process of progressive reopening of the stadium.”

The return to the Camp Nou has been suffering various delays in recent months and doubts about when the long-awaited return can take place.

The price of admission to the training will be 5 euros for subscribers and 10 euros for the rest of the spectators. The money raised will go to the “Pulseras Blaugranas” project, which works for the mental health of hospitalized children and adolescents, the club explained.

The presence of around 23,000 spectators is expected, when the maximum limit authorized at the moment by the mayor of Barcelona for the venue is 27,000 people. For this reason, the club continues to play its matches at the Montjuic stadium, waiting for the Camp Nou limit to be lifted to at least 45,000 spectators.

The delays in the work have meant a great financial loss for Barcelona, which needs the income that the renovated stadium will generate for its stability.

Barça has estimated the cost of the extensive renovation of its stadium at 1.5 billion euros ($1.735 million), which will be able to accommodate 105,000 spectators, a record in Europe.
