MEXICO.- The legendary Aztec Stadiumscene of the opening match of the North America World Cup 2026 on June 11, it will become an Airbnb accommodation for one night to welcome four fans eager to meet the colossus, the digital accommodation platform announced on Tuesday.

The accommodation platform’s portal promotes “Sleep in the Coloso de Santa Úrsula”, as Mexicans know the stadium located in a sector of the same name.

The lucky guests will be the first four people who manage to make their reservation on March 23, according to the announced dynamics. The stay will take place between April 4 and 5.

In addition, the experience includes tickets to attend the opening match of the 2026 World Cup, in which Mexico will face South Africa.

The announcement is accompanied by views of the stadium, both the field and facilities where there is a living room with a wall-to-wall television and a minimalist-style room.

“The lucky ones who manage to reserve will be able to coexist and live here in the stadium,” says Sánchez in a publication from the platform on the TikTok social network.

Guests are promised a VIP tour of the stadium and a chat with the well-known former Mexican goalscorer.

The Azteca, undergoing a deep renovation at forced marches for its third World Cup, after hosting those in 1970 and 1986, will be reopened on March 28 with the friendly match between Mexico and Portugal.
