Argentine Prestianni points out that he was sanctioned “without evidence” for incident with Vinicius

BUENOS AIRES.- The Argentine footballer Gianluca Prestianni considered that he was sanctioned “without evidence” in the alleged racist incident with the Brazilian attacker Vinicius Jr during a match European Champions League in February.

The Argentine also said that he is “very grateful” to Benfica and his teammates for supporting him indoors and said that Jose Mourinhohis coach, “is a cracker” and “a great person.”

Prestianni was called up for the friendlies that the Argentine team played last week ahead of the 2026 World Cup in view of Mauritania (2-1) and Zambia (5-0). But he had no action in either of the two victories.

“I work day by day for this opportunity to arrive,” said the winger, who added that his biggest dream is to play in a World Cup with the Albiceleste.
