In front of the state banquet at the Royal Palace in the Hague, there is suddenly exhausting: just before US President Donald Trump was supposed to drive up with his limousine, the red carpet suddenly blew away. Apparently nobody had expected a strong gust on the beautiful summer evening.
Lakays and security staff were quickly on the spot and gripped: the unruly and completely twisted runner was captured again and draped onto the square in front of the palace levels. A little later, Trump’s armored limousine, “The Beast”, drove before and the US President was able to go up the stairs on the red carpet.
He was greeted by King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima in the hall of her Palace Huis Ten Bosch. Crown Princess Amalia also took part in the state banquet in the magnificent Oranje hall of the palace.
