Miami Gardans.- The current worldwide tetracampeón of Formula 1, the Dutch Max Verstappenhe will not grant interviews this Thursday in Miami, as he does before each Grand Prix, because he is about to be a father, his team, Red Bull, announced Thursday.
“Max will not attend Thursday’s press conference in Miami because he is waiting for a baby. Everything is going well and will be on the track on Friday for the weekend race,” said the Austrian team before the start of the appearance against journalists.
“We will not make comments out of respect for Max’s privacy and his family,” he added.
Verstappen, 27, and his partner Kelly Piquet, 36, daughter of the Brazilian world tricampeón Nelson Piquet, announced in December that they were waiting for their first child.
The Brazilian model already has a daughter, Penelope, who was born in 2019 and whose father is the Russian expilot of F1, Daniil Kvyat, 31.
“Mad Max”, winner of the last four world championships, won one of the first five major awards of the season, in Japan in early April.
It is currently third in the pilot classification, two and twelve points, respectively, of the British Lando Norris and the Australian Oscar Pastri, the two McLaren runners.
