A swipe at Donald? Melania Trump posts video for Bad Bunny song

Donald Trump railed against Bad Bunny. His wife Melania is apparently a fan: she now used his song for an Instagram post.

A swipe at husband Donald? US First Lady Melania Trump (55) is causing confusion with her latest social media post: While the US President (79) doesn’t care about superstar Bad Bunny (31), Melania chose his current global hit as the soundtrack for an Instagram post.

On Saturday, Melania shared a black and white photo series of her inauguration ball dress, which can now be admired as a historical exhibit in a museum. The First Lady accompanied the video with the song “DtMF” by Bad Bunny. The song chosen is a melancholic track about memories and is currently at number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Latin superstar Bad Bunny is less popular in the White House: US President Donald Trump has been agitating against the Puerto Rican for some time. His performance as a headliner at the Super Bowl halftime show in February was particularly a thorn in Trump’s side.

On his platform Truth Social, he didn’t give a damn about the performance: “Terrible” and “one of the worst shows of all time,” Trump complained. He also scoffed: “Nobody understands a word this guy says.” Conservative circles even organized an alternative “All-American” halftime show in protest.

The First Lady seems to see the whole thing more calmly: The fact that Melania chooses this artist of all people could be a deliberate swipe. Bad Bunny is considered one of the harshest critics of current US immigration policy and spoke clearly against the immigration authorities ICE at the Grammys.

However, the house blessing does not seem to have gone wrong because of the post: just a few hours after the post, Donald and Melania Trump appeared together at the governors’ dinner in the White House on Saturday evening.
