The Frenchman assured that he will leave Haas with his head held high and proud of the work done during his time with the team. He also made it clear that his departure does not mean the end of his career in Formula 1.
Ocon ends his time with Haas
Ocon joined Haas in 2025 after previously having spent time at Force India, Renault and Alpine. During his stay in the American team he has experienced a period marked by competitive difficulties and by his criticism of the performance of his car.
On different occasions, the French pilot also hinted at his discontent with alleged unequal treatment regarding Bearman. Both Haas and Ocon had previously denied rumors about a possible separation, until both parties finally confirmed that they will not continue together in 2027.
Haas director Ayao Komatsu thanked Ocon for his work since his arrival to the team in 2025 and highlighted his professionalism and commitment during his time with the team.
The announcement comes on the eve of the Bahrain Grand Prix, which was canceled in April and later moved to the Sepang circuit in Malaysia. Ocon will face this new event on the calendar with the intention of focusing on performance on the track.
Ocon keeps his future in Formula 1 open
The French driver did not offer any clues as to what his next destination could be. His priority, as he explained, is to face the remaining Grand Prix this season before making decisions about his future.
Ocon assured that he will continue to give his best behind the wheel, both for his own goals and for the team, and stated that he maintains the desire to achieve new successes in Formula 1.
The Frenchman made his debut in the top flight in 2016 with Force India. In 2020 he competed with Renault, subsequently spent four seasons at Alpine and has been part of Haas since 2025.
With his departure already confirmed for the end of 2026, Ocon will now have to face the remaining stretch of the season as he seeks to define the next chapter of his career in Formula 1.
