The outlook looks clear for the Miami Marlins currently or at least much more favorable than in recent times. After the fish completed the sweep of a divisional rival like the Washington Nationals Over this past weekend, the currency now hopes to welcome back one of its main hitters ahead of this Monday’s clash.
The Marlins, now with a record of 67-64 after Sunday’s work, plan to reinstate from the injured list Kyle Stowers.
Miami has leaned on Stowers throughout this season for power supplies and there is no doubt that the manager Clayton McCullough is very eager to recover the gardener’s production. At first, it seemed that the shoveler’s absence would be a little longer, but he managed to return earlier than scheduled.
It is clear that an early return also leaves the door open for Stowers to have some type of relapse and lose the rest of the campaign, but the current urgency of the Marlins, who were 3.5 games out of the third wild card spot in the National Leaguehas been a strong enough incentive for the organization and the player to decide to take a risk.
Hernández stuck his face out
During Stowers’ absence, Miami had offensive support from Heriberto Hernandezwho has really shone for the ninth in 2026.
The young slugger had 19 home runs and 53 RBIs after the end of Sunday’s day. Hernández played 87 games in the previous contest, but his offensive explosion in the current competition seems to profile him as one of the main bastions for the present and future within the southern troop of the Florida.
The Dominican gem has proven to be a hitter with the ability to put the ball in play and take it out of the park. He only hit 10 homers in 2025, but the fact that he is just one home run away from reaching 20 in the current contest reflects the progress he has made.
Being able to maintain his production and add Stowers’ customary production promises to be vitally important to the Marlins’ aspirations of returning to the playoffs this year.
