Tyler Herro breaks silence after fight with Bam Adebayo: “I want to move on”

Tyler Herro decided to turn the page. The Milwaukee Bucks guard assured that he does not want to continue fueling the controversy after the physical altercation he was involved in last week with his former Miami Heat teammate, Bam Adebayo, and stated that all his attention is focused on his new team.

“Honestly, I’m just trying to put all that behind me. I’m focused on Milwaukee and building something special. They just traded away the best player in franchise history, so we want to come in and help maintain the level they’ve had,” Herro told ESPN.

The statements come days after it emerged that Adebayo hit Herro during a practice in Las Vegas, presumably in response to critical comments that the guard had made about him on social networks.

Herro and Adebayo shared a locker room in Miami between 2019 and 2026, forming part of the team’s core for seven seasons. However, the relationship between the two would have deteriorated in his last year with the franchise.

The point guard was sent to Milwaukee in June as part of the historic trade that brought Giannis Antetokounmpo to the Heat. For Herro, the operation meant returning to his home state and opening a new stage in his career.

Although injuries limited his participation to only 33 games last season, the guard maintained a high level of performance by averaging 20.5 points per game, with 48% accuracy in field goals, figures that fuel the Bucks’ enthusiasm for the next campaign.

Now, Herro seeks to put the focus back on basketball and not on the controversy with his former teammate, while Milwaukee begins a new era after the departure of Antetokounmpo.
