Jürgen Klopp opens the door to direct Germany if the federation decides to relieve Julian Nagelsmann

The future of the German national team could take a turn in the coming weeks. After the team’s elimination from the 2026 World Cup, Julian Nagelsmann’s continuity is being analyzed by the German Football Federation (DFB), while Jürgen Klopp would be willing to listen to a proposal to take over.

Although Nagelsmann has reiterated that he has no intention of resigning and wishes to continue leading the national team, the DFB will evaluate the team’s performance before making a final decision on the sporting project.

In this scenario, Klopp appears as the main candidate to succeed him. Various reports indicate that the former Liverpool coach would welcome returning to the bench if he receives a call from the German federation, despite the fact that he currently holds the position of global director of football at Red Bull.

The 59-year-old manager left Liverpool two seasons ago and had maintained since then that he had no plans to return to management in the short term. However, the position of Germany coach has always been considered one of the few challenges capable of convincing him to return to the sidelines.

For now there is no official offer nor a decision made by the DFB, but the possibility of seeing Klopp at the head of the ‘Mannschaft’ gains strength after the team’s failure in the World Cup and could become one of the big movements in European football in the coming weeks.
