“The first team player Frenkie de Jong has injured the distal biceps of his right leg in training this morning (Thursday). The tests confirm that the recovery process time will be between 5 and 6 weeks,” Barça wrote in a brief statement.
The Barça captain will miss at least the league matches against Villarreal, Athletic, Seville and Rayo Vallecanoas well as the two round of 16 duels of the Champions League European (March 10-11 and March 17-18), against Newcastle either Paris Saint-Germain.
